Meet Andre Jerry
Dear Neighbors,
My name is Andre Jerry and I want to represent you as your
next
State Senator. Building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous
community is my top priority.
Public service is a tradition in my family.
I was raised
by parents who taught me the importance of public service and I
understand that you can serve in many different ways. My father
served our country in the military for nearly three decades and was
awarded the prestigious Purple Heart Metal of Honor. My mother stood
by his side and raised me and my two sisters. She is now actively
involved in many civic and community organizations in my hometown.
 I
was born in Fort Benning, GA and raised in Columbus, GA, where I
graduated from Shaw High School. Upon graduation, I enlisted into
the U.S. Air Force. After my service in the Air Force, I attended
Fort Valley State University and Columbus State University where I
majored in Accounting and Business Administration. Today, I am a
Tax Advisor and
Financial Planner to various corporations and individuals in the
Atlanta area. I live in Thomasville Heights, a re-emerging
community in Southeast Atlanta. As a proud resident of District 36,
I am actively involved in improving our community, serving on the
Cleveland Avenue Advisory Board, Zoning Committee, and as
Delegate to the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board for my
Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU-Z.)
We need a leader who shares our values and who will work hard for
our in-town communities all the time. In order to work
